How much do you know about Be Well Walsall’s free wellbeing service?
Wellbeing can be physical, mental, social and even financial. Positive wellbeing gives us a sense of purpose and helps us live our everyday lives. It also reduces our risk of illness, increases our self-esteem and makes us happier people.
When we talk about wellbeing, we are talking about eight fundamental parts of every person’s life. Our wellbeing is highest when these parts of our life flourish:
- Living close to green spaces like park, and feeling safe on the street
- Meaningful activity like work, volunteering and learning
- Healthy behaviours like good nutrition and regular movement
- Being connected with friends, family and our community
- Financial security
- Access to transport and ways of getting around
- Physical security and safe shelter or housing
Be Well Walsall’s wellbeing service is for anybody over 18 who lives or works in Walsall or who is registered with a GP practice in Walsall.
What does Be Well Walsall’s wellbeing service do?
Simply put, our wellbeing service aims to make life better for everybody who lives in Walsall. But what does that actually mean?
We constantly look at what the people who use our service say would improve their wellbeing – and then we provide services to meet those calls.
That includes a lot of different services and support, all covered under the wellbeing service umbrella. For example, if your financial wellbeing is suffering then we can refer you to services that will provide support with debt, budgeting or finding a job. If you are struggling with your housing situation, we can help you get in touch with social housing providers in Walsall.
