As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, now is the perfect time to kick-start your fitness journey. Here are some tips to help you get more active in April:

  1. Book time in your diary

Just like any other important appointment, add exercise into your diary. This will act as a regular reminder to help you prioritise your health goals and make them a part of your daily routine.

  1. Create a playlist of your favourite songs

Music can be great for uplifting your mood and motivating you. Create or find a playlist with your favourite upbeat songs to keep you energised while you exercise.

  1. Walk everywhere for a day

Challenge yourself to walk more instead of driving. Whether it’s walking to work, taking the stairs instead of the lift, or going for a walk during your lunch break, every step counts.

  1. Park further away

We know not everyone is the position to leave their car at home, instead try parking further away from your destination. This simple change can add more walking to your day and increase your daily step count.

  1. Start a competition with friends or family

Challenge your friends or family members to a step count battle, a race, or an exercise competition. This can make your fitness journey more enjoyable and motivate you to push yourself harder.

  1. Some exercise is always better than no exercise

The most important part of any fitness journey is consistency. Even if you don’t feel like exercising, show up and do what you can. Remember, any activity is better than no activity.

By incorporating these tips into your routine, you can make April your most active month yet. So, lace up your sneakers and let’s get moving!
